Why it matters

The textiles & apparel context.

Textiles and apparel manufacturing spans the chain from fiber to finished product: synthetic and natural fibers, spun and extruded yarns, woven and knit fabrics, carpet yarn, technical and protective textiles, and cut-and-sew apparel. The industry's U.S. base remains strongest in the Carolinas and Georgia, where generations of mill expertise now meet highly automated extrusion, spinning and finishing lines.
