Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine plans a second, separate state-of-the-art drug-product manufacturing facility in Wilson, Wilson County, North Carolina. The State confirmed the selection on January 9, 2026, following Johnson & Johnson's January 8 announcement of a new North Carolina drug-product facility. It will manufacture medicines for oncology and neurological diseases and is estimated to create up to 500 new permanent jobs. The Company and state describe the capital only as an additional multibillion-dollar investment; they have not publicly separated a reliable site-specific amount, so AFT preserves investment as null rather than assigning an invented dollar value or a share of Johnson & Johnson's $55 billion national manufacturing, R&D and technology commitment.
