Lilly's additional $450 million Research Triangle Park expansion adds parenteral filling, device assembly and packaging capacity for incretin-based diabetes and obesity medicines. Lilly announced at least 100 additional permanent manufacturing jobs, recorded here at that conservative floor, with the expansion expected to be fully operational by 2027 (year precision only). The original $470 million / 462-job RTP facility is tracked separately, so the two records together itemize $920 million and 562 permanent jobs for the site. The remaining approximately $780 million of Lilly's company-stated $1.7 billion cumulative RTP figure is unreconciled — no official announcement itemizes its scope, capital or jobs — and is excluded, as is Lilly's broader $4 billion North Carolina rollup. Durham County's up-to-$5 million performance agreement is a public incentive and is excluded from this private capital total.
